One of the best time to visit Gate way of India is around 7 A.M in morning which gives a glimpse of how beautiful the city looks while waking up.

Few shots can be covered near Gateway of India, Mumbai Bill board and front of Taj hotel, If climate permits you would be lucky to have awesome sunrise shots. Some things to keep in mind for great pre-wedding shoot photos:

To Sum-up what you should expect.

  • Time is key factor to get the shoot done  properly. Best time for shoot is always early morning around 5AM to 10.30 A.M(Depends on which month of year we shooting +-1Hour).
  • Comfortness  between the couple is key factor in Prewedding shoot, End results of prewedding shoot totally depends on couple themselves.
  • Know what you want ath the  end of the day, Its always best to share idea with photographer how you want end results to be like romantic shots would just include you and him getting comfortable (read: snuggling) in your location. If you want a more fun shoot, then think of props, ideas and stories your pictures could tell.
  • Plan the dresses as per the location you gonna shoot. Each factor adds  charm to images more and more.

      Hi Amit,

We are glad you liked the blog and what we summed up here, There is no such process set from government to take permission for shoot. There are few locations where we cant use stand or shoot video place like Gateway Of India and Vasai fort. Fees needs to be paid for still shoot at SGNP around revised 3,300 (1,210/- old charges). All other location dont attract any rules its just you need to adjust with environment to shoot.

Hi Pankaj a very informative blog. You have mentioned all the details required for pre wedding shoot very concisely. Just want to know if we need to take any permission from Archeological department Sion office for photography at Vasai fort without using any stand and just still photos. As last week a mob of local people came to the fort and denied us from taking photos any photos in the Vasai Killa. They asked for the permission from sion department. Please throw some light on this if you’re aware about the formalities for shooting at Vasai fort.

Hi Thanks for stopping by on the website, This is major issue we faced shooting any location within Indian. To say about Archeological they will provide permission for the shoot but services fees for the same would go much higher.

I would advice to start looking for new options and new locations for shoot. Few resorts allows for shoots on their premises with small fees.
